Taking care examines the topic of feminine identity. Femininity is an identity that all women are expected to embody. Women learn how to become women since they are kids. That is why we do not only explore what it is to be a woman, but also the aggressive strategies used by society against women’s bodies in order to make them embody stereotyped femininity.
Taking care trata sobre la identidad femenina. La feminidad es una identidad que, supuestamente, todas las mujeres deben encarnar. La mujeres aprenden cómo devenir mujeres desde que son niñas. Esta es la razón por la que no sólo nos centramos en la cuestión de la feminidad, sino también en el conjunto de estrategias agresivas empleadas contra el cuerpo de las mujeres con el fin de obligarlas a encarnar una feminidad obligatoria.
